When Swiss snowboarder Urls Eiselin dreamt of mating a quad bike with a snowmobile with a quad bike, he wasn't expectin the monstrosity and the awesome performance of the resulting ride.

Meet the Sand-X all-terrain vehicle, a ride capable of 114mph and such mind-boggling grip that it will do 0-62mph in 2.8 seconds - faster than a Ferrari Enzo - over desert sand!

The Sand-X all-terrain vehicle, also capable of driving on roads and tracks at 100mph using its sophisticated suspension to dampen bumps and vibration, is just as comfortable in mud or snow. Even more, the Sand-X's design features a very low centre of gravity, giving it stability that protects it from tipping over.

Because it is actually an ATV, the Sand-X can tackle steep dunes head-on, driving across the desert in a straight line rather than winding around the berms.

Belt-tightening consumers more likely to cut back on movie tickets, DVDs and top-tier cable, study finds

Amid the threat of tough economic times, Internet and cellphones have become almost like heat and water for consumers - they are among the last monthly expenses that households are willing to cut from their budgets during a recession.

Internet and Cell phones are the new essentials.

A survey conducted last week in Canada and the U.S. suggests that if consumers are forced to reduce spending, they will look almost everywhere else in their household budgets before they unplug their computer or switch off their BlackBerry.
